How to Import Blackboard Classic grades (.CSV file)

Before performing these actions, make sure to complete grading in the SI Cloud gradebook of the lessons you wish to import. And make sure your Classlist in Blackboard Classic matches your Classlist in SI Cloud.

2. Check that you have grade columns and possible points set in your Blackboard Classic gradebook for each SI Lesson you wish to import.

3. Select the "Work Offline" drop-down, then select "Download"

4. Select the appropriate options in the "Download Grades" panel, then select "Submit"

Under "Delimiter type" make sure to select "Comma" [Separated Values (.csv)]

5. Select "Download"

6. Save the .csv file to your desired location

You can use gradebook classic or new gradebook

8. Save the .csv file to your desired location

9. Open both .csv files

10. Starting with the the .csv file from SI Cloud, locate the the first column you wish to import

If the possible points are set to 100 in each SI lesson of your Blackboard Classic gradebook skip steps 9-12.

11. In an open cell, type "= (" and highlight the grades from the column.

12. Then continue typing "/100)*[possible points]", hit enter

13. Copy the new data set, and paste it into the corresponding column in the Blackboard Classic .csv file

When pasting, right click in the first cell and select "Paste Values" shown in the image below.

14. Repeat steps 10-13 for all other lesson grades you wish to import, and save the Blackboard Classic .csv file

16. Select "Browse Local Files"

17. Open the Blackboard Classic .csv file you edited and saved

18. Select "Comma" as the delimiter type, then select "Submit"

19. You will be redirected to the Grade Center page, all lesson grades should be present
